THE KNOWING BENEATH THE LOGIC

Updated: Aug 5

A person sits alone on a dock beneath a giant moon, reflecting quietly by the water.
A lone figure sits quietly on a dock beneath a massive full moon, its reflection cast across the water. The scene hums with stillness—not as absence, but as deep recognition. This is the kind of knowing that doesn’t need proof. It just needs space to be felt.

Many years ago, my mom had doctor that would muscle test her medications for proper dosage.

It wasn't something I was present for, so I didn’t see it firsthand, but I still had opinions. It sounded like quackery. Like something you’d find in the back of a wellness magazine, wedged between a seaweed enema and a psychic cat healer. Definitely not something a medical doctor should be doing.

Fast forward a few years to my experience with NAET.

My sister used to bring her sons to deal with their allergies and recommended I bring my daughter, which I did...and eventually my son, and of course, myself.

I acted as a surrogate for both of my children at different times, and I could feel it. That strength and weakness thing? It wasn’t subtle. I’d feel strong while not touching them, and weak to the same substance as soon as I made contact. Every time. Even when I didn’t know what the substance was.

That’s when it stopped being a theory. It was real. Even if I didn’t understand it. And NAET was so impactful in the lives of my family that I decided to become a NAET practitioner, which meant Acupuncture school...if you went by their rules for certification, and of course I would do that back then.

Despite having no interest in being an acupuncturist, I did want to practice NAET, and to do that, to be certified by the person that created the modality, I had to go to school for acupuncture.

In my first trimester, I took a Level 1 Applied Kinesiology course in preparation for my future profession as a NAET practitioner. Not through school, of course. I did it on my own because honing this skill would be essential to being an effective NAET practitioner. It has nothing to do with Chinese Medicine in any traditional way.

But somewhere along the way - mostly in clinic -I fell in love with the medicine. Not because I had to, but because I finally saw what it could do.

And of course, as muscle testing doesn't have a place in acupuncture, I didn’t practice muscle testing in clinic. But interestingly, what I found was that the energy would often tell me, regardless. A patient would be talking, and I’d find myself gesturing to a point on my own body - only to realize later that it was exactly what they needed. I didn’t always know the name or the function of the point when it came through. But it came through.

It wasn’t guessing.It wasn’t memorization.It was resonance.

That’s what people misunderstand about muscle testing. It’s not really about muscles. It’s about energetic alignment. When something matches, the body holds. When it doesn’t, it lets go. You can test that through strength or weakness, sure—but sometimes, you don’t need to test it at all.

The same way you don’t need to force a cork into a bottle it was made for. It either fits, or it doesn’t. The signal is there. You just have to stop overriding it.

Even now, I rarely use muscle testing in practice - but I do sometimes check herbs that way, especially when the pulse and the story aren’t adding up. I don’t always trust it as the final word, but I trust it as part of the conversation.

Because sometimes, your body spills the right dosage into your hand. And sometimes, nothing comes out - because it doesn’t need it right now.And sometimes, that’s the answer.

It’s not magic. It’s remembering.

The body isn’t waiting for proof. It’s waiting for us to stop interrupting what it already knows.

Been sensing that your body already knows?

If this kind of medicine makes a different kind of sense to you—one that isn’t just studied, but felt—Meet Christina might be the space you’ve been circling toward.

No pressure. Just real talk, honest questions, and the resonance you can’t fake.
