About the Recipe

This blend is helpful when you feel overheated, dry, or emotionally brittle. Goji nourishes the eyes and blood, white mulberry moistens and clears internal dryness, and rose softens emotional edges and supports gentle circulation. Think: irritated skin, red eyes, restlessness, or snappish moods.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp dried goji berries

  • 1 tbsp dried white mulberry fruit (sang shen)

  • 1 tsp dried rose petals (culinary grade)

  • 16–20 oz hot water

Preparation

  • Place all herbs in a tea strainer or directly in a heat-safe jar.

  • Pour just-boiled water over the mixture.

  • Steep for 10–15 minutes, or until the color deepens.

  • Drink warm or room temperature; eat the goji berries at the end if desired.

Primary Symptoms

Dryness, restlessness, heat signs (e.g., red eyes, mild irritability)

Notes and Variations

  • Add chrysanthemum if you have eye strain or mild headaches from screen time

  • Omit rose if feeling sensitive to smells or emotionally raw

  • Add a few jujubes (chinese dates) if you're fatigued or run cold and need a touch more warmth

  • Great in late summer or fall when internal dryness peaks
